Battery Back Up

 Integrating a battery bank with a solar power system allows your home to have backup power in the event of a power outage. A grid tie system with battery backup offers the most utility and versatility of any solar energy system. In sunny weather the home is powered by the solar panels and any excess energy can be used to fill a battery bank or sent back to the power company. If the production is limited by poor weather conditions, energy can be pulled from the batteries instead of the grid. Gas powered generators can also be used to support the solar power system during lack of production.
